Job Summary
Welcome guests with a warm, professional attitude, verify reservations, and manage seating assignments while escorting guests to tables. Monitor dining room capacity, coordinate seating flow with servers and bartenders, and maintain accurate waitlists. Assist with table resets, ensure spaces are prepared 15 minutes prior to arrival, and resolve guest concerns or escalate issues to management. Follow all sanitation standards, food safety procedures, and alcohol service guidelines while working collaboratively with the front-of-house team. This part-time role pays $16.00-$17.00 hourly with 401(k) matching benefits, requiring flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays until October 23, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Previous experience as a Host, Receptionist, or in a customer-facing hospitality role
- Previous experience in a restaurant, sports venue, hotel, country club, or event venue
- Outstanding customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and ability to represent Blue Arena and Oak View Group in a positive manner
- Ability to remain calm, friendly, and organized in a fast-paced, high-volume event environment
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also working independently with minimal supervision
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on the event schedule
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout an event shift
- Must obtain and maintain all required food handler, alcohol service, and other certifications required by state or local regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, volunteers, supervisors, and management while fostering a positive and respectful work environment
Desired Qualifications
