Job Summary
Welcome and warmly greet all guests on arrival, manage efficient and timely seating based on guest preferences and service flow, and open the front door for entering or leaving patrons. Record party details when immediate seating is limited, relay messages to servers and bus persons, and provide estimated waiting times. Accommodate special seating requests whenever possible, offer menus upon seating, and thank guests as they leave while promoting retail sales. Work nights and weekends in a standing position for up to six hours with exceptional grooming habits. Monk's Bar, established in 1947, features extensive Badger memorabilia and offers a historic dining experience in downtown Madison.
Required Qualifications
- Be able to working in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours)
- Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests
- Must have exceptional grooming habits
