Job Summary
Greet guests with a warm smile, seat them, and manage reservations, messages, and telephone inquiries while maintaining accurate guest counts and wait times. Assist with coat check, safely move chairs and tables, clear and reset tables, and maintain restrooms. Sell and account for gift cards, answer menu questions, and follow food allergy procedures and special orders. Operate all necessary tools and equipment, including reservation and paging systems, while ensuring safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness compliance. Work variable hours including weekends, standing and walking through the restaurant to ensure the guest experience exceeds expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to communicate in English in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
- Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
- Able to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
- Get along well with others and be a team player
