Job Summary
Present breaking news, feature stories, and special coverage while conducting interviews with newsmakers and subject matter experts. Research topics, review background materials, and prepare for program segments to ensure accurate discussions. Collaborate with producers and editors to develop segment concepts and interview questions. Facilitate discussions and moderate interviews reflecting journalistic standards of fairness and accuracy. Review scripts and production materials to improve clarity and editorial quality. Represent the organization in public-facing roles including community events and special broadcasts. Adapt and translate content produced in English into Spanish for distribution. Edit and approve copy prepared by others for broadcast inclusion. Contribute to production elements for radio, television, and web programs. Meet OCB standards for productivity, quality, and deadlines while working independently or as a team member.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in target language (written, spoken)
- Deep knowledge of the target area
- Ability to adapt stories into English as assigned
