Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, escort them to tables, and manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists using the hotel's reservation system. Strategically coordinate seating to optimize flow, provide accurate wait times, and assist with special requests, accessibility needs, or to-go orders. Answer restaurant phone calls, support guests with dining inquiries and local recommendations, and communicate preferences or allergies to servers. Maintain cleanliness of the host stand and waiting area, deliver beverages, and support bussing during peak periods. Follow sanitation standards, report hazards, and attend pre-shift meetings to stay informed about specials and service notes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Food Safe Serve/Texas Food Handlers Certification
- CPR certification
- TABC required and maintained
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods and escort guests across the dining room
- Professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards

- Previous restaurant, host, or customer service experience
- Experience in a full-service hotel or high-volume dining environment
- Familiarity with reservation management systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
