Job Summary
Greet guests upon arrival, manage seating arrangements, and handle reservations while monitoring floor activity to anticipate needs. Coordinate communication between dining staff and the kitchen, address guest inquiries and complaints, and maintain cleanliness in the front-of-house area. Train and supervise hosting staff on service standards and etiquette. Collaborate with management to enhance the guest experience.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience within the hospitality industry, preferably in fine dining or upscale restaurants
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in reservation management software and basic computer skills
- Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures, including wine service and menu presentation
- A professional demeanor and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
