Job Summary
The Host/Hostess greets and seats guests, assists servers as needed, and coordinates with management on guest flow, special requests and occasions. Responsibilities include warmly welcoming guests, managing a waitlist, guiding seating to optimize dining room performance, accommodating large groups and guests with children or disabilities, inspecting arrival areas and menu materials, and multi-tasking in a high-volume dining environment while gaining knowledge of dining offerings. Strong guest relations, phone etiquette for to-go orders, clear English communication, and the ability to stand/walk for extended periods are required.
Required Qualifications
- Must have superior guest relations skills and the ability to answer guest inquiries about the Resort.
- Must have proper phone etiquette to take to-go orders.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must have demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to clearly speak, write and understand the English language.
- Must be able to multi-task in a high volume and high demand work environment.
- Must be able to learn and understand dining room and menu offerings.
