Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, escort them to assigned dining areas, and present menus while managing seating flow between the bar and dining room. Answer incoming calls, take food and beverage orders, and promote menu options to ensure a seamless handoff to service staff. Monitor occupancy levels with the manager, address special guest needs, and maintain a clean, sanitary environment by setting tables, replenishing supplies, and troubleshooting equipment. Adhere to safety protocols, attend daily and monthly meetings, and remain observant throughout the dining experience to uphold high-quality service standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual a plus
- Must be able to read menus
- Must be able to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance
- Must be able to clearly communicate guests' needs to staff | managers
- Must be able to efficiently answer telephone and respond to guest requests in a polite manner
- Must be able to walk and stand during entire shift
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and wipe
- Must be able to carry trays or supplies (1030 lbs.)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Able to effectively present information in English, in oneon-one and small group situations to guests and other employees of the organization
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts (holidays | weekends
- Able to work in noisy and loud environment
- Able to work in fast paced, stressful environment
