Job Summary
Greet and escort guests to tables while maintaining host desk organization and menu tidiness. Answer phone calls and manage reservations by importing data into the Open Table database. Make necessary arrangements for special functions and maintain open communication between guests, management, and team members. Observe all safety procedures and effectively handle customer complaints with empathy and proactive solutions. Requires high school diploma, ability to lift 40 pounds, and flexibility to accommodate varying schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of restaurant operations service equipment and guest relations
- Ability to read the English language to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, reservations, promotional materials, event orders and similar written materials
- Ability to move throughout a crowded room to seat guests
- Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner
- Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- Full flexibility to accommodate varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the facility
- High School Diploma
