Job Summary
Greet and escort guests to tables, manage reservations via OpenTable, maintain the host desk and menus, answer phones to take reservations, and ensure smooth communication between guests, management, and team members. Maintain a tidy host area, coordinate reservations and special events, and observe safety procedures. Requires the ability to read English, move through a crowded dining area, and handle guest concerns with empathy while working collaboratively in a high-pressure hospitality environment.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of restaurant operations service equipment and guest relations
- Ability to read English to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, reservations, promotional materials, event orders and similar written materials
- Move throughout a crowded room to seat guests
- Effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner
- Graduation from high school or equivalent (neat, clean, well-groomed appearance)
