Job Summary
Greet patients, deliver appropriate menus, and explain the Room Service process to patients and families. Assist patients with ordering meals, assemble and deliver trays, and assure satisfaction with all food and snacks. Act as a liaison between the patient, dietary department, and nursing staff by communicating food needs to all relevant personnel. Stock unit floor kitchens with par levels and assist with daily dishroom duties. This role involves responding to patients' food needs and requests on the patient unit.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Good reading and writing skills
- Good comprehension skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, nursing staff, customer service specialists, dietitians, and other dietary production and transport staff
- Excellent customer service and telephone skills
- Understanding of modified diets
- Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Previous work experience in patient services
