Job Summary
Greet and seat residents and guests, acknowledging assigned servers before departure. Document all mealtime transactions manually and via computerized systems. Answer the phone at the reservation desk to take reservations and orders for meals to go. Park mobility aids and walkers when no one is waiting to be seated. Work as a dining room server or for special events, including setting up the dining room. Maintain service quality by staying on the floor to actively engage guests and address their needs. Report hazardous conditions, equipment issues, and accidents or incidents immediately. Make copies of all Thistle/Way breakfast trays for the week. Perform other duties as assigned. Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Saturday with Sunday availability.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in an understandable manner
- Computer literate and able to use Point-of-Sale Systems
- Full understanding of dining room operational procedures and etiquette, residents' rights, and departmental policies and procedures
- Detail-oriented person and able to perform duties with great accuracy each day
- Must be able to do a Saturday OR Sunday shift
