Job Summary
Greet guests immediately upon arrival, seat patrons at clean tables using proper rotation, and manage the waiting list while adhering to seating order procedures. Handle cash, credit card, and discount transactions accurately, describe promotions, and suggestively sell to guests. Clear and set tables, maintain the foyer area, and ensure all food is portioned correctly according to menu specifications and timing standards. Monitor waste, control food costs, and adhere to safe food handling regulations while operating the point of sale system. Work flexible shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends, and assist other team members as needed to provide total guest satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Must have ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
- Must be able to pass all required tests and training requirements for the position
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Meets Denny's uniform and grooming standards and maintains them throughout the shift
- Must be able to work flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends
- Must have excellent guest service skills
- Must be dependable and able to learn basic tasks and follow instructions
- Must place a value on diversity and shows respect for others
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Must be able to observe and ensure product is prepared and presented to company Brand Standards
- Must have basic math skills, including understanding of units of measure
- Must be able to pass all required tests and training requirements for the position
