Job Summary
Restaurant Host duties include greeting guests warmly, handling check-ins and seating, answering phones and taking reservations, coordinating with staff to optimize guest placements and prevent overbooking, preparing and updating station charts, maintaining cleanliness of the host station, updating guest profiles and special requests in reservation systems, ensuring menus and wine lists are current and stocked, resolving guest complaints, and responding to inquiries about hotel services and local attractions. Requires English proficiency, customer-service focus, flexibility to work a variable schedule (including weekends/holidays), and the ability to obtain applicable alcohol-related certifications. Pay rate is $16.00/hour plus tips; prior hospitality experience preferred in a high-end setting.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in customer service or hospitality, preferably in a high-end setting
- Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol
- Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position
- Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and the ability to speak and write in English fluently
