Job Summary
Receive cash or credit card payments, compute bills on the P.O.S. system, make change, and issue receipts. Greets and seats patrons, coordinates restaurant flow, assigns stations, and relays menu, promotion, and reservation details. Handles takeout orders via walk-in, telephone, and third-party services, performs 30-minute bathroom checks, and answers guest questions using the Ameristar Standard. Ensures service quality standards are followed and resolves difficult situations between staff and patrons. Utilizes an app-based reservation system to record walk-ins and assign seats based on server rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have excellent guest service skills
- Must have basic math skills
- Must be very friendly and outgoing
- Must be 18 or older
- Must be 21 or older for Beverage Server, Barback, Bartender
Desired Qualifications
- Previous cash handling experience is helpful
