Job Summary
Greets guests upon arrival, answers telephone, takes reservations, and manages seating to best serve their wishes. Provides menus and general information about restaurant and meal options. Prepares and maintains a guest waiting list, records party details, estimates wait times, and notifies parties when tables are available. Checks in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course, thanks them upon departure, and invites future returns. Cleans work and waiting areas according to department standards while following all food handling, sanitation, and health department guidelines. Requires flexible availability for various shift times based on department needs.
Required Qualifications
- Requires ability to serve needs of guest through verbal face-to-face interactions
- Must demonstrate positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Requires communication and interpersonal skills and commitment to a high level of guest satisfaction
- Requires ability to learn and use telephone and computer systems used at the hotel
- Applicants must be able to provide flexible availability
- can be scheduled for various shift times as needed by the Department Manager
