Job Summary
Host at Hawkers Asian Street Food: greet and connect with guests to craft an adventurous, vibrant dining experience. You are the first and lasting impression of the restaurant, responsible for welcoming guests, estimating wait times, calling or messaging parties, seating guests, sharing menus and drink options, ensuring proper table presentation, relaying information to servers, and handling To-Go orders. Maintain a clean Host stand and dining areas, assist with side work, and provide exceptional guest service while collaborating with team members. Must be at least 18 and able to stand, walk, lift up to 20 lbs; full-time position with benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Welcome and connect with guests
- Estimate wait time for seating using seating software
- Text guests with seating status or call out party name/number
- Accommodate seating requests and involve a manager as needed
- Seat guests based on preferences and balance flow
- Provide menus and introduce beverage/dessert options
- Inspect tables for presentation and completeness
- Relay messages to servers and server assistants
- Thank guests and invite return
- Perform side work as assigned
- Maintain clean and organized service areas and Host stand
- Interact with guests during seating and routing
- Bring menus, napkins, boosters, chairs as needed
- Answer the telephone promptly and courteously
- Take To-Go orders when necessary or as directed
- Operate the POS system

- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Physical ability to stand/walk/bend/squat/reach and lift up to 20 lbs
