Job Summary
Welcome members and guests at the door with a warm greeting, manage reservations and walk-ins in an organized fashion, and lead guests to their assigned tables. Schedule reservations over the phone, email, or in person, ensuring all members have their required table before arrival. Assist the Food and Beverage staff as needed and ensure all club policies, procedures, and standards are met by staff. Thank guests for their patronage and invite them to return. This part-time hourly role requires flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with long hours possible due to business demands.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least six (6) months of experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club
- Knowledge of HACCP & local food safety standards
- Possesses or can obtain State Food Safety Certificate
- Knowledgeable of food and beverage operations
- Extraordinary attention to detail, quality and service
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Long hours may be required due to business demands
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds
