Host / Food Runner

Host/Hostess greets guests entering the restaurant, adds them to the waiting list when needed, seats guests at tables or in waiting areas, and manages table rotation to balance server workloads. Requires engaging with guests to ensure satisfaction, addressing questions, taking reservations, answering phones, and maintaining food safety standards. Responsibilities include delivering food from the kitchen to tables, coordinating with servers for correct order delivery, maintaining a clean workstation, and reporting any kitchen accidents or food-safety violations. Must be able to perform basic arithmetic for transactions and measurements. Position typically requires being 16 years of age with experience preferred; physical demands include walking/standing, occasional lifting up to 25 lbs, and operating in a loud restaurant environment.
