Job Summary
Front of House roles at Vermillion Room, Fairmont Banff Springs. As a Host or Food Porter, you will greet guests, seat them, and maintain floor plans to match forecasted guest and staffing levels; transport food from kitchen to dining room efficiently; work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment; and contribute to a seamless service experience. Requires Alberta Pro-Serve certification prior to start; hospitality experience preferred; POS experience is a plus. Must be flexible with early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays; able to lift 40+ lbs and stand for 8+ hours. Available as casual and full-time positions, with preference for full-season availability (June-October 15). Starting wage $18.08-$18.70 per hour depending on position.
Required Qualifications
- Pro-Serve Certification for Alberta
- Previous experience in a high-volume and fast paced hospitality environment is preferred
- POS system experience an asset
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry, with a love for all things food and drink
- Schedule flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40+lbs and be on your feet for 8 hours or more
