Job Summary
Greet guests in person or by phone to schedule reservations, coordinate guest flow at the front of house, and escort parties to assigned tables. Manage the host stand and lobby by maintaining cleanliness, checking reservations, and accurately quoting waiting times. Complete opening, side, and closing duties while assisting with coat check, menu delivery, and Platinum Club service. Support team members and communicate guest requests or complaints to managers. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, clear English communication skills, and the ability to work a flexible part-time schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. You must be able to stand for four hours, lift 15 pounds, and follow all safety and sanitation standards.
Required Qualifications
- Meet state age requirement for the position
- Must be able to read and communicate in English clearly and effectively
- Must have professional communication and social skills appropriate for guests
- Must be self motivated and able to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Strong team-work orientation, well organized, able to take direction from others
- Basic math and computer skills required
- Able to work a flexible, part-time schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Lunch-time serving hours may be required for certain seasons, holidays, or special events
- Able to stand for 4 or more hours at a time
- Able to lift and carry 15 pounds on a regular basis
