Job Summary
Greet guests in person or by phone to schedule reservations and coordinate front-of-house flow by seating, acknowledging departures, and managing the waiting list. Check reservation lists, anticipate peak times and banquets, and assign parties to tables or servers while delivering menus and escorting guests. Maintain a clean, orderly host stand and lobby, perform opening and closing duties, and assist with coat checks and Platinum Club service. Answer calls professionally, communicate guest requests to managers, and support team members as needed. Work flexible part-time shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and adhere to all health and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Meet state age requirement for the position.
- Must be able to read and communicate in English clearly and effectively.
- Must have professional communication and social skills appropriate for guests.
- Must be self motivated and able to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Strong team-work orientation, well organized, able to take direction from others.
- Basic math and computer skills required.
- Able to work a flexible, part-time schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Lunch-time serving hours may be required for certain seasons, holidays, or special events.
- Work days and hours vary in accordance with business need.
- Able to stand for 4 or more hours at a time.
- Able to lift and carry 15 pounds on a regular basis.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
