Job Summary
Greet and seat guests warmly, manage wait lists, and assign tables based on party size and rotation. Record reservations, provide menus, and relay messages to servers and kitchen staff to ensure dining details are handled properly. Inspect dining areas, restrooms, and waiting spaces for cleanliness and proper setup. Answer telephone inquiries, coordinate with team members to support efficient operations, and fill in for staff as needed. Take to-go orders, operate cash registers, and requisition supplies. Maintain contact with all staff and guests to address concerns and ensure satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to count money and maintain a register
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
- Ability to determine wait time
- Must visually scan restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables
- Must be able to walk and stand during entire shift
- Reaches, bends and stoops frequently
- Remain stationary for long periods of time
- Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 20 lbs
- Frequent washing of hands
