Job Summary
Greet and seat guests in a timely, friendly manner while taking to-go orders and handling all cash and credit card transactions. Deliver beverage orders, clear empty dishes, and wipe down tables when guests leave. Assist servers by clearing and setting tables, delivering beverages to guests, and occasionally supporting food delivery. Thank guests as they depart and describe menu items, prices, and preparation methods. Requires 6 months of cashier and bussing experience, high school math skills, and ability to work in a high-pressure environment. Must stand and move well-paced for up to 8 hours with full manual dexterity.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months previous cashier experience
- 6 months previous bussing experience
- Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English language
- High School level math: Adding, subtracting
- Must be able to learn server stations and be able to seat guests equally between those stations
- Must have a basic knowledge of beverage brands, drink preparations and applicable health standards
- Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware
- Ability to describe all menu items, prices and methods of preparation
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees
- Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near and color vision and depth perception
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months previous cashier experience, preferably in a restaurant setting
- 6 months previous bussing experience preferred
- Experience with POS system preferred
