Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, escort them to tables, and manage seating flow while delivering menus and kid packs. Monitor restaurant needs, perform restroom checks, and maintain cleanliness in the lobby, bakery, and retail areas. Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, assist with marketing and situational selling, and clear or set tables as required. Effectively manage guest wait times, resolve complaints by involving managers when necessary, and ensure safe food handling. Stand for the entire shift, walk frequently, and lift up to 50 pounds while communicating clearly with guests and staff.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to accurately handle money, make change, process credit card transactions
- Strong menu knowledge
- Computer skills (POS system)
- Must have ability to accurately handle money, make change, process credit card transactions and have strong menu knowledge
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Excellent guest service skills and experience
- Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
- Push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Verbally communicate with others
- Use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
