Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, escort them to tables, and monitor restaurant flow while delivering menus and managing wait times. Perform restroom checks, keep lobby and retail areas clean, and handle cash and credit transactions accurately. Clear, sanitize, and set tables as needed, assist with marketing promotions, and effectively resolve guest complaints by involving management when appropriate. Maintain safe food handling practices and accurately account for all receivables including gift cards. This role supports the Bob Evans mission of serving high-quality farm-fresh food with a focus on family dining and community pride.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Must have ability to accurately handle money, make change, process credit card transactions and have strong menu knowledge
- Computer skills (POS system)
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Excellent guest service skills and experience

- Must be able to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Must be able to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
