Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, escort them to tables, and manage seating flow while delivering menus and kid packs. Monitor restaurant needs, perform restroom checks, and maintain cleanliness in the lobby, bakery, and retail areas. Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, assist with marketing and situational selling, and clear or set tables as needed. Effectively manage guest wait times, resolve complaints by involving managers when appropriate, and ensure safe food handling practices. Stand for entire shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, and communicate clearly with guests and team members. This role supports Bob Evans' mission of serving high-quality farm-fresh food with a focus on family dining and community roots.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Must have ability to accurately handle money, make change, process credit card transactions and have strong menu knowledge
- Computer skills (POS system)
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Excellent guest service skills and experience
