Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, escort them to tables, and manage seating flow while delivering menus and kid packs. Monitor restaurant operations, perform restroom checks, and keep lobby, bakery, and retail areas clean and stocked. Handle cash and credit transactions, process gift cards, and accurately account for all receivables. Clear, sanitize, and set tables as needed, assist in marketing and promotional services, and effectively manage guest complaints by involving management when appropriate. Stand for the entire shift, walk long periods, and lift up to 50 pounds while maintaining strong menu knowledge and POS skills.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Must have ability to accurately handle money, make change, process credit card transactions and have strong menu knowledge
- Computer skills (POS system)
- Must be able to stand for entire shift
- Must be able to walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Must be able to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to reach with hands
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to bend and stoop
- Must be able to verbally communicate with others
- Must have ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
