Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, escort them to tables, and manage seating flow while delivering menus and kid packs. Monitor restaurant operations, perform restroom checks, and maintain cleanliness in the lobby, bakery, and retail areas. Handle cash and credit transactions, process gift cards, and assist with situational selling and promotions. Clear and sanitize tables as needed, manage guest wait times with managers, and resolve complaints by involving leadership when appropriate. Perform physical duties including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds throughout the shift. Work in a farm-fresh dining environment focused on perfect plates and family service.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Must have ability to accurately handle money, make change, process credit card transactions and have strong menu knowledge
- Computer skills (POS system)
- Ability to effectively handle guest complaints and involve manager at appropriate time
- Ability to communicate and interact with guests, handle crowds, and put guests at ease
- Ability to show guests you care and ask them about their dining experience
- Ability to greet guests in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner
- Ability to monitor guests' needs and the flow of the restaurant
- Ability to deliver menus and kid packs when seating guests
- Ability to perform restroom checks, answer phone, keep lobby, bakery and retail areas clean, and keep work areas stocked
- Ability to practice safe food and beverage handling
- Ability to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Ability to reach with hands
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Ability to bend and stoop
- Ability to verbally communicate with others
- Ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
