Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, escort them to tables, and manage seating flow while delivering menus and kid packs. Monitor restaurant operations, perform restroom checks, and maintain cleanliness in the lobby, bakery, and retail areas. Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, process gift cards, and assist with marketing promotions and situational selling. Clear and sanitize tables as needed, manage guest wait times by coordinating with managers, and resolve guest complaints by involving the manager when appropriate. Handle up to 50 pounds of items, stand for entire shifts, and multi-task to prioritize duties. Requires strong guest service skills, POS system proficiency, and ability to handle money and make change.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Must have ability to accurately handle money, make change, process credit card transactions and have strong menu knowledge
- Computer skills (POS system)
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
- Must be able to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Must be able to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to reach with hands
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to bend and stoop
- Must be able to verbally communicate with others
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
