Job Summary
Greet guests at the door, escort them to tables, and set them according to service standards while introducing their server. Communicate with the kitchen regarding guest counts and wait times, checking in on satisfaction for each course or beverage. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, the hostess stand, and the restaurant perimeter by checking every 30 minutes, making silver ware roll ups, and ensuring uniform standards. Anticipate service needs, run food and bus tables when available, and respond to guest inquiries about local attractions. Adhere to departmental policies, communicate effectively with peers and management, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to speak, comprehend, and read English
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Food Handler's Card needed
- High School diploma preferred
