Job Summary
Host/Hostess position at Kiawah Island Golf Resort serving Atlantic Room/Ryder Cup Bar. Responsibilities include greeting guests, escorting to tables, seating, taking reservations, managing guest flow, communicating with kitchen and service staff, relaying promotions, and ensuring high-quality guest service throughout dining experiences. Must be able to work on-site, lift up to 20 lbs, and stand for the shift. Pay begins at $16.00 per hour; background checks required; benefits available after eligibility period.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 16 years of age
- Team-oriented mentality
- Must be highly organized, responsible and detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival
- Take reservations and confirm reservations
- Manage flow of guests into dining and bar areas
- Escort and seat guests in dining or bar area
- Liaison between kitchen and dining area
- Inform guests of current promotions and serving staff
- Tend to guests’ needs throughout dining experience
- Assist dining room staff by setting and clearing tables
- On-site work required
- Physical ability to lift 20 lbs and stand for long periods
