Job Summary
Frontline Hospitality Team Member responsible for creating a safe, welcoming environment at MSSC’s downtown facility. Supports meal services, clothing room, coffee window operations, internal programming, and the safety and cleanliness of the building and exterior property. Builds respectful, trust-based relationships with guests and volunteers, de-escalates crises, and engages in community-building activities. Requires experience working with unhoused individuals or those facing complex social barriers, Naloxone training, de-escalation training, and First Aid/CPR-C. Strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and compassionate service aligned with MSSC values.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with unhoused individuals, those living with addictions, and/or those facing complex social barriers
- Naloxone training (or willingness to obtain)
- De-Escalation Training-NVCI, ASIST (or willingness to obtain)
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C (or willingness to obtain)
- Computer Skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; competency in data collection, entry, and project management software
