Hospitalist Physician Ogdensburg, NY

Hospitalist physician to provide in-hospital care in a rural New York hospital. Responsibilities include hospital rounds to assess progress and adjust treatment, responding to emergencies, collaborating with nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and specialists, providing consultations to other physicians, and educating patients and families on medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge plans. Requires an MD or DO degree, a valid New York medical license, and board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or related specialty. Must have hospital privileges and proficiency in diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions. Schedule features 12-hour shifts with day or evening options (7a-7p or 7p-7a); W2 or 1099 arrangements; malpractice coverage provided.
