Job Summary
Hospitalist Physician needed to join University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health in Bel Air and Aberdeen, MD. Role involves inpatient internal medicine care, unit-based rounding, admissions and new consults during day, with swing/ nocturnist coverage; average 15 patients/day; EMR is EPIC; trauma level II facility with 257 beds; collaboration with APPs and physicians; benefits include malpractice tail coverage and CME allowance. Board certified/eligible in internal medicine required; active MD license in Maryland, ACLS, DEA, and CPR credentials expected.
Required Qualifications
- BE/BC in Internal Medicine
- Board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine
- Active state license
- American Heart Association CPR certification
- DEA License
- State controlled substance registration
- ACLS
- EPIC experience or proficiency
- Disease management and inpatient care experience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
- Inpatient internal medicine hospitalist experience preferred
