Job Summary
Hospitalist role within the CVA/Neurohospitalist service at UM Rehabilitation and Orthopaedic Institute in Baltimore. Inpatient internal medicine care including admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, hospital rounds, and discharge planning. Flexible block schedule and low census. Requires BE/BC in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and an active Maryland license with BLS, ACLS, DEA, and CDS. EMR: Epic. No procedures or vents. Lead or participate in stroke alerts and rapid response protocols; determine eligibility for thrombolytic therapy (tPA) and/or endovascular intervention; interpret CT/CTA/MRI/perfusion neuroimaging. Strong inpatient skills, teamwork, and effective communication are essential.
