Job Summary
Manage admissions, discharges, and overall daily patient care for the hospitalist service during 12-hour shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with occasional night or swing shift coverage. Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure quality care, counsel patients on health concerns, and document all interactions in the medical record system. Adhere to hospital policies, Corporate Compliance, and HIPAA regulations while participating in medical staff educational programs and supporting new initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed to practice medicine in New York State
- Board Certified or Board eligible and predominantly trained in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- New resident graduates
- BLS and ACLS certified by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- 12-hour shifts during the week from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- occasional option of covering nights or swing shifts
