Job Summary
Hospitalist-Nocturnist at Stamford Health seeking a full-time nocturnist to provide inpatient medical supervision, consultation, and teaching to residents in the Department of Medicine and Family Practice. Duties include medical consultation for Surgery and OB/GYN Residents and emergency inpatient coverage of medical patients on the non-teaching medical service. Work with 2-3 other nocturnists at night; schedule is 7 days on, 7 days off; inpatient primary care service with 24/7 coverage; hospital highlights include a new 10-story tower, private rooms, and Magnet/Planetree-designated care. Requires MD/DO and CT medical license (or ability to secure), BE/BC with Internal Medicine preferred, and strong communication and critical care/computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO License; CT Medical License or the ability to secure one
- BE/BC required; Internal Medicine highly preferred
- Prior Family Practice & sufficient in-patient experience to effectively carry out essential responsibilities
- Must possess excellent communication, critical care and computer skill
