Job Summary
Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to hospitalized adult patients during night shifts, performing admissions, evaluations, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions. Respond to overnight patient care needs, coordinate treatment plans, and manage patient transitions of care while collaborating with specialists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams. Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic health record and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Join the established Hospital Medicine team at a 420-bed regional referral hub serving over 460,000 residents, offering strong specialty backup and modern clinical resources.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Eligible for or holding an active Alabama medical license
Desired Qualifications
- Current ACLS certification preferred
