Hospitalist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage in Alaska

Job Summary
Provide inpatient hospitalist coverage for adult patients during 12-hour day shifts (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM) and night shifts (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) at an Anchorage facility with a closed ICU model. Manage a patient census of 90-95, with individual loads of 18-22 patients per shift, while utilizing EPIC EMR for documentation. No procedures are required as care is supported by an on-staff intensivist. Commit to working 7 consecutive shifts, preferably 2 weeks per month. Board certification in ABIM or Family Medicine and prescriptive authority are required.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certification in ABIM or Family Medicine
- Prescriptive Authority
- Willingness to work 7 consecutive shifts
- Willingness to work 2 weeks per month
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
- On-site basis availability
- Adult inpatient medical conditions experience
- EPIC EMR documentation capability
- ABIM certification
- Family Medicine certification
