Hospitalist MGSH

Manage inpatient internal medicine care 24/7, including history and physical exams, daily rounding, discharge planning, and consultations for referrals from primary care physicians and the emergency department. Teach and oversee resident care, develop curriculum, evaluate competencies, and lead teaching rounds for the Internal Medicine Residency program. Produce accurate billing records for professional services and hospital charges while adhering to utilization criteria and accreditation regulations. Efficiently manage a caseload of 10 or more patients daily, facilitating communication between the program, private attendings, case management, and patient families. Participate in multidisciplinary quality improvement teams and community outreach efforts.
