Job Summary
Hospitalist-OB physician to join the OB Hospitalist service at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center (Des Moines, IA). Provide obstetric care including vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections for OBED patients and unassigned emergent cases. Participate as adjunct faculty with the Family Medicine Residency. The center is a 622-bed Level II Trauma center with a sizable NICU (44 beds) and a high-volume obstetric program (averaging ~3,000 deliveries annually). The role features 84 annual 24-hour shifts with a flexible schedule and aims to support community-based obstetric and infant care in Des Moines.
Required Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible in obstetrics/gynecology (OB/GYN)
