Job Summary
Manage care for acutely ill hospitalized patients alongside an ancillary staff and Rapid Response Team, providing full or partial services to private attending physicians. Work a 7-day block schedule while attending monthly meetings and participating in quality and Patient Experience committees. Maintain an average caseload of 15-17 patients, adapt to new CMS regulations, and collaborate within a collegial team environment. Located at St. Charles Campus of Good Samaritan University Hospital in Port Jefferson, this role offers full-time supervision by the Hospitalist team.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
- ACLS/BLS Certified
- Trained in Family Practice or Internal Medicine
- Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine/Family Practice
- Full time supervision by our excellent Hospitalist team
- 7 day Block schedule
- Attend monthly Hospitalist Meetings
- Get involved in quality as well as Patient Experience committees
- Work in a team environment
- Provide high quality care
- Manage an average patient caseload of 15-17 patients
- Adapt and be flexible to new CMS regulations
