Job Summary
Hospital Supervisor position providing administrative leadership to patient care units and hospital departments on assigned shift. Responsibilities include ensuring safe operations, problem solving, and communication to administrators on-call and nursing leadership. Requires BSN, MSN or graduate degree within 2 years, 5+ years nursing experience with 2+ years supervisory experience, and RN licensure in SC or compact state; BLS certification required. Day shift, 36 hours per week, with 3-12 hour shifts; in South Carolina with MUSC affiliation. Must uphold procedures and policies and coordinate with senior leadership to maintain operational continuity.
Required Qualifications
- BSN required
- MSN or graduate degree in related field within 2 years
- minimum of 5 years nursing experience
- three years nursing experience and two years supervisory experience
- Certification in nursing leadership within one year of eligibility encouraged
- RN licensure by SC Board of Nursing or compact state
- Current BLS certification (AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider)
