Job Summary
Provide administrative leadership to patient care units and hospital departments to support operations as delegated by Senior Leadership. Facilitate problem solving and communication to ensure safe operations of the Medical Center on assigned shifts. Communicate ongoing activities to the administrator on-call, nursing leadership, and respective department directors. Ensure staff adherence to procedures, regulations, and policies. Requires BSN with MSN within two years, five years nursing experience including two years supervisory, and South Carolina RN licensure. 36 weekly hours in 3-12 hour night shifts; weekend and holiday requirements apply.
Required Qualifications
- BSN required
- completion of MSN or graduate degree in related field within 2- years
- A minimum of 5 years of nursing work experience required
- three years of nursing experience
- two years of supervisory experience
- Certification in nursing leadership within one year of eligibility strongly encouraged
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent)
- American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
- Ability to perform job functions while standing

- Ability to lift/lower objects 50 lbs. from/to floor from/to 36 inches unassisted
- Ability to lift from 36" to overhead 25 lbs.
- Ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force
- Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes
- Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance
