Job Summary
Overnight Hospital Social Worker in the Emergency Department at Deaconess Hospital with a Master’s in Social Work and LICSW or LSWAIC (with LICSW goal within 4 years); provides mental health and crisis assessments, crisis response coordination, discharge planning, and family support in a fast-paced ER setting. Collaborates with crisis responders, psychiatric facilities, detox centers, and shelters; requires independent decision-making, teamwork, and clinical supervision for LICSW licensure. Shift is primarily 10-hour overnight with rotating weekends/holidays; sign-on bonus available for new full-time hires with 2-year commitment. Location: Deaconess Emergency Department, Spokane, WA. Pay range $74,609.60–$107,348.80 annually; comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work
- Licensed in the state of Washington (LICSW) OR Social Worker Associate Independent Clinical (LSWAIC) with commitment to obtain LICSW within four years
- Minimum three years hospital or equivalent experience
- Health industry knowledge preferred
- Leadership experience a plus
- Ability to conduct mental health, suicide risk, and substance use assessments
- Experience with crisis intervention and discharge planning
- Licensure renewal requirements and ongoing supervision as applicable
