Job Summary
Hospital Services Technician responsible for traveling between customer healthcare facilities to proactively monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for Stericycle programs (e.g., Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, Document Management). Interacts professionally with onsite staff to meet or exceed service expectations, maintains a rigid collection and service schedule, communicates duty status on a defined schedule, and performs additional duties as assigned. Requires strong customer service skills, ability to work independently, valid driver's license and reliable transportation, and familiarity with computer/handheld software to track daily KPI’s. Position includes physical requirements such as lifting and moving heavy carts and equipment; hybrid schedule with site visits in Lexington, SC area.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of related experience, customer service preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and tact in providing superior customer service
- May require mandatory immunizations and credentialing based on customer requirements
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must possess reliable transportation to travel between customer facilities
- Ability to work independently and with little supervision
- Knowledge of computer/handheld software applications including spreadsheets and application-based programs to track daily KPI’s
