Hospital Services Technician (27262)

Hospital Services Technician responsibilities include receiving and processing orders for blood products, transporting products to and from locations, packaging and delivering shipments, preparing unprocessed products and sample tubes for manufacturing, and maintaining accurate documentation. Level II duties add labeling and irradiation of blood components. Requires knowledge of infection control, blood transport procedures, vehicle handling, safety practices, strong interpersonal and customer service skills, basic math, ability to lift up to 40 pounds and push/pull up to 350 pounds, and ability to work in a laboratory/medical environment with strict regulatory and SOP compliance. Must be able to operate standard office equipment, maintain records, follow SOPs, and adapt to varying tasks in a high-risk setting. Education required: High School Diploma or GED; valid California driver’s license; pre-employment drug testing and E-Verify participation may be in effect.
