Hospital Services Technician (27025)

Hospital Services Technician position responsible for receiving and processing orders for blood products, transporting products to appropriate locations, delivering shipments, and ensuring proper documentation. Works under supervision to enter orders, perform electronic shipment of blood products, pack/deliver shipments, and transport unprocessed products and samples to the laboratory. Maintains inventory accuracy, adheres to SOPs and FDA-regulated processes, and provides excellent customer service to internal/external customers. Level II duties include labeling and irradiation of blood components. Requires knowledge of infection control, safe driving, and basic math; ability to lift 40 pounds and push/pull 350 pounds; must hold High School Diploma or GED and a valid California driver’s license; environment includes laboratory/medical settings with potential safety risks; pre-employment drug test and E-Verify participation.
