Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical 7W PRN at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO. Provides patient care using the nursing process for adult patients with diagnoses such as cellulitis, pneumonia, UTIs, chest pain, GI issues, COPD exacerbations, and stable COVID. Maintains professional accountability, coordinates patient care with other departments, evaluates care effectiveness, and supports a fast-paced medical unit. Requires an accredited nursing program graduate with ADN, Nursing Diploma, or BSN and an active RN license in Missouri or compact licensure. Per diem schedule with benefits including medical/dental/vision, PTO, tuition support, and retirement plans for qualifying hours.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Nursing Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact licensure
- Experience in hospital setting preferred depending on unit
- Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
